Golfing for Good: McCormick’s 4th Annual Charity Golf Classic

August 12 marked the 4th Annual McCormick Charity Golf Classic, a day filled with sunshine, connections, and golf for a meaningful cause. It brought local businesses, neighbors, and partners together at the McCormick Woods Golf Course, a premier 18-hole golf course located in McCormick, to give back to two organizations serving South Kitsap.

Thanks to everyone who participated, volunteered, sponsored, and donated, we were able to raise over $46,000 for the South Kitsap Rotary Club and South Kitsap Helpline. Each dollar we raised is split equally between both amazing beneficiaries. We are proud to continue supporting these incredible organizations and are grateful to everyone who helped make this year’s event such a meaningful success.

A Little About Our Beneficiaries

South Kitsap Rotary Club continues to support service projects, scholarships, and local initiatives that strengthen the community. Their projects focus on supporting education, combating hunger, and improving local infrastructure.

South Kitsap Helpline is a local nonprofit organization that has been committed to supporting children, adults, and seniors in need since 1980. Through community partnerships and food assistance programs, they work to ensure South Kitsap neighbors have access to the food and resources they need.

A Special Thank You to Our Participants

This year, we have 26 sponsors to thank, all who came together with fun goodies, games, and memorable stops throughout the course. Whether it was a simple roll of a dice or an extravagant sweet treat booth, our sponsors went all out to bring the spirit on the course. From cart sponsors and tee-off sponsors to hole sponsors and donated raffle items, each role helped make this our most memorable and impactful Charity Classic to date.

A special thank you also goes out to every golfer and volunteer who joined us on the course. Events like this are only possible because of the people who show up, participate, and give their time and energy to something bigger than the game.

Lastly, a huge thank you to the team at the McCormick Woods Golf Course and Clubhouse. This was our 4th year partnering with them for this golf event. Without their expertise and guidance, this event would not be possible.
